It is nice growing up with brothers - someone to lean on, someone to count on....someone to tell on!

Summer Tennis Lessons

Kade and his really good friend, Tanner, have had a blast learning the in and outs of tennis this summer.  We found a great coach this year who is wonderful about teaching technique.  She also brings her older daughter and son to help with rotations.  No tournaments like last year-just straight form and technique. They love it.  Their words today as I drove them to practice.  "After our missions, we are going to be roommates at BYU and play for their tennis team."  Dreams really do come true!  Keep playing strong boys.  You both are doing so awesome!

First lesson in June...learning the basics.

Fun Night with the Allred Family

We love hanging out with the Allred family.  Kade and Tanner can be friends for life.  How many men does it take to make a fresh strawberry shake?

p.s. Mark said he has gray hair in this pic.

Fishing

Kade and Tyson had a sleepover at Grandma's and decided to go fishing the next day at the Wasatch State Park.  My mom dropped them off a little after noon then we picked them up close to 3 o'clock.  They had so much fun-just the two of them.  They are growing up and are independent enough to fish on their own.  They wished they could have stayed longer.  That just means we will have to fish again before the summer is over.  Smelly fish hands and all.

Owen got attacked from the hose and had to borrow a shirt from grandma.

After being gutted and washed, these little fish are ready to be put on the grill and devoured.  They were tasty!

A walk to the park...after Owen's clothes were dry.  :)

Swimming Lessons

The two weeks of swimming lessons are up.  Now I can officially say my two older boys can swim in the deep end and love to dive off the block over and over.   Cole was not so sure before, but he loves it now.

Pioneer Day

Mark didn't have to work today and it was so nice to have him with us.  We stayed at my parents so the guys could golf early in the morning.  After, we met my sister's family at the Utah Olympic Park.  I had never been up there before and was very surprised at how big those ski jumps are.   We enjoyed watching the ski jumpers land in the pool as they would come down the big green slopes.  The boys thought that was pretty neat.  We rode the ski lift up and then ended with the alpine slide.  Then we went back to my parents to meet the rest of the family for a BBQ.

My parents have "front row seats" at the Charleston fireworks on the 24th.  We played games while we waited.  They really do live in the perfect spot.  Here is to many more July 24ths at their house.

3 happy boys.

At the top.  It really is super high up there.

Three shoulder-back rides.

Time to bust out the parachute!

You have to try and run to the other side when they call your name without being trapped underneath.
