Nightmare Express

Yesterday night, we took a ride on the Nightmare Express in Lindon. A family puts this all together and makes it free for all ages. The Stringtown Railroad turns into a railroad spook alley with ghosts, goblins, spiders, bats, skeletons, graveyards, dragons, Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory, and Dracula's castle. (Scary proof for little kids) Although it was windy and super cold, it was worth the wait! They took our group and put us into rows in their garage. The movie "Nightmare Before Christmas" was playing until it was our turn to board the train. We had a "spooktacular" time!

The Tooth Fairy's First Visit

Apple after apple Kade tried to eat so his tooth would get loose. On October 25th, it was so loose he just wanted it out. He told his dad to pull it out for him. Mark touched his tooth and with a little tug it came out without Kade noticing. "Is it out yet?" Mark showed Kade his tooth and Kade could not stop smiling. Kade had to go look in the mirror to make sure there was no blood. Phew!! We put his tooth in an envelope and tucked it under his pillow. At 3:00 in the morning he came and got me because the Tooth Fairy had taken his tooth and left no money. Hmmm....we went into his room and turned on the light. The money had fallen on the floor. Now he could go back to bed.

Do you want to be a fireman?

Yesterday, we toured the North Orem Fire Station. My nephew, Devin, had one more badge to get to complete his Wolf. The Fire Station is like their "home." They have a kitchen, TV, couches, and a laundry room with the biggest washer ever! Kade and Cole loved to be so close to the ambulance and fire engine. While we were there, the firemen got an emergency response call and had to leave. We watched their quick exit as they were off to rescue someone who needed help. It was amazing to see how devoted and excited they were to rescue anyone that had an emergency. Thank you to all you dedicated firemen!

My favorite thing to do when Kade gets home from school is go through his backpack with him. He gets very excited to show me how hard he works. Today he brought home this picture.....


I love to watch the stick people transform into an actual cute person. Kade said he was told to use a lot of "detail." I was very proud!
