THE PURSER FAMILY

It is nice growing up with brothers - someone to lean on, someone to count on....someone to tell on!

Purser Family Reunion at Bear Lake

From Wednesday July 3rd to the 7th, we got together with the Purser side for a fun and relaxing reunion at Bear Lake.  I hadn't been there since I was five.  I didn't realize it is a mini Caribbean!  The water was so beautiful.  Yes the water was cold, but the views were amazing.  It was so much fun to be all together.

Bear Lake sunrise.

I snagged this picture of the cabin we stayed at online.  I am so sad I didn't take one single pic of this perfect cabin.
Thanks to Jill for such a great find.

Kitchen/Front Room.

Great Room upstairs.

Morning games in the basement-still in pjs.

Cole and Lincoln playing.

Baby Kelsey...what a cutie pie.

Had to have one of these while we were there.

Cute yellow light house where we turn to drive up to the cabin.

July 4th happenings at the KOA campground in Garden City.  What a blast!  The best part was when the girls had to pedal for 10 counts and then the guys in the front would pedal for 10 counts.
The girls were faster. ;)

I am so glad we were able to go inside Minnetonka Cave.  It was 40 degrees inside, which was pretty cold, but my boys loved it.
896 stairs in all!

After the cave, we all drove into Logan to see the long awaited movie.

We saved our water day till Saturday.  I loved how the lake had a gradual deepness to it.  The kids could walk out pretty far and had plenty of playing room in shallow water.  We need to come back to this lake for sure.

Without realizing what Cole was up to, the very first thing he did when we arrived at the beach was design his own treasure map in the sand.  Included was the "X marks the spot" and buried treasure.  Mark marched along his map and dug to reach the extra special Bear Lake rock that Cole had found.  I love the way Cole imagines and uses his mind to make something so cool.

Our beach setup.

Owen and Braden all worn out.

Grandpa and Grandma getting on the tube.  Yahoo!

Already starting off with the go slower "thumbs down" signal.

They loved it.

Our "Do not tress-pass" spot on the North Idaho side.  I took this pic as we drove away from playing at this perfect secluded beach.

Two of the nights ended in cloudy, gusty, storms.  Made things a little exciting.  Thanks Sadie for this awesome picture.
Great memories made.

Playing with Friends

I love our neighborhood!  My kids are so lucky to have such great friends that live so close.  The Eddy brothers, Brandon and Jake, and Brayden Lloyd.

While Brayden's parents were at Girls Camp, we had him over for a few nights.  He fit right in!

Murdock Canal Trail

Checking out the new trail in style.  One small addition...a rope.  Never fear-dad is here to pull you up every...single...hill.  Thank goodness the trail is mostly flat.  We survived the 2.3 mile walk.  Somehow I didn't get any pics of us on the trail.

Box Elder Peak

Mark and two other Ivory agents, Wes and Tony, decided to hike Box Elder Peak.  They used a golf ball as a walking stick and once they made it to the top, they teed off.
Boys will be boys.

Taking in the views while stopping for lunch.

A view from the top.

Mark called me from the top!

Fore!  Watch out below.

Sports Camp

Our neighbors put on a great sports camp for the kids during the summer.  I hope someone continues the tradition each year.  Aubrey and Alyssa are off to college and hope to go on missions.  Spencer is a junior in high school so he probably has one more year...they are just great with the kids.
