7 Little People

Every Tuesday and Thursday all of these little people get together for Play School.  It is two hours from 9:45-11:45.  I started the rotation 7 weeks ago and this week it is my turn again.  With the rotation of other Moms in the neighborhood, we all get a two hour break-two times a week.  The kids love being with each other and love to play.  We sing songs, do a craft, read stories, and play.  Owen loves being with all of his friends!

A Green Miracle

At first, my cantaloupe plant looked hopeless.  No fruit was in sight.

I grew lots of pumpkins, tomatoes, zucchini, bell peppers, and onions, but didn't think I would even get one cantaloupe by the looks of my plant.  But to my surprise...

My little garden produced this:

I couldn't help but to cut into the thing.  It was green and tasted nasty. If I would have been a little more patient, it could have ripened.  I am not sure.  Maybe I will be able to eat orange cantaloupe next year from my garden!

The BIG Hole

So what is behind the big wall of colorful dirt that keeps getting bigger and bigger?  Kennecott...a HUGE hole that mines for copper, gold, diamonds, and much more.  The big dump trucks would go back and forth carrying gravel and dumping it.  The boys were fascinated with how many scoops it took to fill up one dump truck-3!  Then the trucks would slowly make it up the hill and dump their load over the side.  Don't mind the pics were my boys had climbed with a sign that reads "Do not climb."

Couldn't resist driving by the "UP" house.  We saw it from a distance!

I'm not "lion!"

Cole had tonsillectomy surgery today.  He was so brave.  Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect.  I was very nervous for Cole.  It couldn't have gone better than it did!  A bubble gum mask was used to put him to sleep and then they put in the IV.  No pokes or scary parts while he was awake.  Phew!  Now we are hoping he will be back to his healthy self again.  We love you Cole!  You are a champ!

Before the surgery...he was ready to get his tonsils out!

Lucky orange socks!

His tonsils are out and he is a little sleepy still.

Cole is such a sweetheart!  He did so well.  While he was still kind of out of it, he kept asking me to take care of his "cast" and keep his arm under the blanket.  He wanted to protect it.  Funny!  Thankfully no broken arm just an IV.  He was sure he was there for a cast not for getting his tonsils out-when he first woke up.

Time to go home.  We survived!

Hopefully our night will be just as good!

Timpanogos Cave

It couldn't have been a more perfect day to hike up to the Timpanogos Cave.  We got an early start and we were grateful for the shade.  With a few "shoulder backs" the boys made it to the top.  I can't believe all this time we were missing out on such an awesome sight so close by!
