At first, my cantaloupe plant looked hopeless. No fruit was in sight.
I grew lots of pumpkins, tomatoes, zucchini, bell peppers, and onions, but didn't think I would even get one cantaloupe by the looks of my plant. But to my surprise...
My little garden produced this:
I couldn't help but to cut into the thing. It was green and tasted nasty. If I would have been a little more patient, it could have ripened. I am not sure. Maybe I will be able to eat orange cantaloupe next year from my garden!
